Update April:

Having scouted out the area we have made a booking at a campsite on Tarn Foot farm, top of Windermere.

The campsite is a beautiful undulating field near to Loughrigg Tarn, just a kilometre or two from the top of Windermere. There is drinking water on tap and a track to get vehicles up to the site. We have open access to the tarn and plan to take kayaks.
